We accept the majority of dental plans and our administrative staff will gladly file your claim. Our office also accepts assignments. Occasionally your assistance may be required in following up with an insurance claim to assure that claims are paid in timely fashion. Co-payments and deductibles are estimated at the time of service and any portion that is due after insurance has been filed becomes the patient responsibility. Any claim(s) not paid within ninety (90) days becomes the patient's responsibility.
Our office does interim billing after insurance has been made to notify patients of their responsibility. We have found that notifying patients when insurance payment(s) have been made is the best practice, as patients are kept abreast of their financial responsibilities. Interim billing provides patients with up-to-date communication between their insurance carrier and dental practice, notifying them when there has been a change in their account.
Patients become responsible for their account thirty days after insurance filing, regardless of whether insurance has paid. So, we ask our patients to check with their insurance carrier on the status of their claims regarding questions on claims filed or payments made.
